The second picture is of the statue of the Little Mermaid - which was inspired by the Hans Christien Andersen story; the first is of the Opera House, which has elements of the Sydney Opera House in terms of architecture. Danish architecture is, in general, very contemporary and very much our taste, so we're both enjoying that.
